Job Scam in Pakistan

Fake job offer, registration fee or security deposit. Below are community-submitted reports about phone numbers, websites and accounts linked to this type of scam. Community reports are one signal, not a verdict — always verify independently.

Job scams offer fake jobs and then ask for a registration, training or security fee. Real employers never charge you to get hired.

How this scam typically works

  1. A "recruiter" contacts you on WhatsApp, Telegram or social media with an attractive job offer.
  2. They skip a proper interview or do a short chat-only "interview".
  3. They ask for a registration fee, security deposit or "training material" payment.
  4. Some versions pay a small first task, then ask for a bigger deposit and disappear.

Red flags

  • You must pay to get the job.
  • Contact only through personal WhatsApp/Telegram, no official company email.
  • Salary is unrealistically high for simple work.
  • No verifiable company website, office or registration.
  • Pressure to pay quickly to "confirm your seat".

Official advisories

Never pay a fee to get a job

FIA has repeatedly warned about fake job offers that demand registration, training or security fees. Legitimate employers do not charge candidates for recruitment. Verify the company before sharing documents or money.

Official advisories are awareness guidance published by authorities. They are not a verdict about any specific person and are kept separate from community reports.

Frequently asked questions

Are work-from-home jobs always scams?

No, but any job that asks you to pay first is a major warning sign. Verify the employer independently before sharing documents or money.

They asked for my CNIC and photo for "onboarding". Is that normal?

Some employers collect documents after hiring, but never before a verified offer. Share documents only after confirming the company is real.
