Fake trading, crypto or guaranteed-profit scheme. Below are community-submitted reports about phone numbers, websites and accounts linked to this type of scam. Community reports are one signal, not a verdict — always verify independently.

Investment scams promise guaranteed profits from trading, crypto or forex. Early withdrawals may work to build trust, but large deposits are never returned.

How this scam typically works

  1. You are added to a WhatsApp/Telegram group with "mentors" and fake profit screenshots.
  2. A small deposit shows quick profits to build confidence.
  3. You are pushed to deposit more, or to recruit friends and family.
  4. Withdrawals suddenly need "tax", "verification fee" or more deposits — and eventually stop.

Red flags

  • Guaranteed or fixed daily/monthly returns.
  • Unlicensed "advisors" with no SECP/SBP registration.
  • Pressure to deposit more or recruit others.
  • Withdrawals blocked until you pay extra fees.
  • Profit screenshots that cannot be independently verified.

Official advisories

Use only licensed lending and investment platforms

SBP has warned against unauthorised digital lending apps that harass borrowers and harvest personal data. Verify that a platform is licensed by SBP or SECP before installing it or investing money.

Official advisories are awareness guidance published by authorities. They are not a verdict about any specific person and are kept separate from community reports.

What to do if targeted

  • Stop sending money immediately, even if a small withdrawal worked.
  • Check whether the company is licensed by SECP or SBP.
  • Never recruit others — that can create legal problems for you as well.
  • Collect all chat logs, wallet addresses, bank receipts and platform URLs.

Where to report

  • FIA NR3C cybercrime portal.
  • SECP (for unlicensed investment schemes) and your bank.
  • Local police for large fraud amounts.

Frequently asked questions

The platform let me withdraw once. Is it safe now?

No. Letting small withdrawals succeed is a common trick to make you deposit much more before blocking larger withdrawals.

How do I check if an investment company is licensed?

Verify the company name and registration with SECP (securities) or SBP (banking). If it is not registered, do not invest.
